Set Four is a Midlands-based property development company with a focus on high-end developments that encourage community living. I was approached to help with naming and logo design.
Work Performed
From three different name options, the client eventually chose ‘Set Four’.
The word ‘set’ has two meanings: (1) to “put, lay, or stand (something) in a specified place or position” and (2) a “group of people spending time together”. The first can be associated with construction, while the second conveys a sense of community and belonging central to the business’ unique offering. By adding ‘four’ (i.e. combining words and numbers), the name becomes more modern and intriguing. It also reads as “set for”, which has a subliminal link to “set for life” - a positive and apt phrase for a property development company.
After the name had been chosen, the client was presented with a choice of two logos. To match the company’s own aesthetic, both of these were designed to be minimal and evoke a sense of understated luxury.
